Bob Bob Brilliant Christmas date night!

Every year for the past 4 years I have been spoilt rotten with a Christmas date by my wonderfully thoughtful fiancé.

Months ago I had read an interview with an actress from Downton Abbey in the back of Friday's ES magazine. She spoke about this unbelievable sounding pudding that I told P about the second I got home (hello Sweet Tooth). Any how, I had totally forgotten about this conversation, but it seems he hadn't as last night, he surprised me with an evening of gin cocktails followed by a table at Bob Bob Ricard

The food and drink were exquisite and utterly faultless. We ordered two of there signature rhubarb gin and tonic's before the starters arrived, P opted for the 3 cheese souffle and I had the scallops with black pudding, beautifully presented and P's was especially huge in portion size, much to his delight.

The waiting staff paid us a perfect amount of attention and the whole place just oozed glamour and style with the low lit lighting and intimate booths complete with soft leather seating.

For mains we both couldn't resist the Lobster Mac and Cheese... this was just divine. Large succulent pieces of lobster in a hearty pasta portion of thick cheesy goodness.

For once I could not finish my dish (much to P's utter delight)- for the most part knowing that dessert was to come and I was so excited to try it!

The decor of the place is totally inspiring with so many quirky features, from the seating lay out to the individual button at your table. . . and of course, we pressed it, how could I not!

Ta dahhhh.....

After two A*** courses we sipped our champagne and didn't even really need peruse the dessert menu as we knew exactly what we were going to have!

The BBR Signature Chocolate Glory. This deserves all the praise it can get, it was utter decadence in a chocolate bomb. Brownie, mousse, chocolate, meringue and orange jelly, complete with molten chocolate sauce. It's a total spectacle and I made sure I video'd it to share with you guys.

We shared this between the two of us, which I would throughly recommend as it's such a rich pudding, a great ending to one of the best meals I've ever had in London.
